A few reminders about the Blue Jackets Get Out And Learn program: - To be eligible for the program, children must be between 5-9 years of age and new to hockey.
- This program is for kids who have no prior hockey or skating experience, these on- and off-ice clinics will introduce the exiting sport of hockey in a fun and safe environment.
- Children currently participating in a league or hockey classes are not eligible.
- In an effort to accommodate as many families as possible, Get Out And Learn is a one-time participation program.
If your child wants to play hockey but does not meet the age requirements, or not sure where to get started? The Columbus Blue Jackets recommend that kids start with a Learn to Skate program. The OhioHealth Chiller Ice Rinks offer skating and hockey classes year-round for all ages and levels, and may be able to help you find quality used gear from an equipment bank if needed.
